OUR STORY

Sebandon Hill Farm is a small family farm in Pamplin, Virginia, owned by Paul and Michelle Foster. We are in the Heart of Virginia, approximately 80 miles from Downtown Richmond, 35 miles from Lynchburg, and 70 miles from Charlottesville. We are 3rd and now 4th generation farmers. Paul grew up on a produce farm while Michelle's family managed tobacco along with dairy and beef cattle. Naturally, we wanted to continue our farm heritage and instill the same values in our own children. We started out small, with sheep and goats and as the children grew and gained independence, we shifted to cattle, chickens, turkeys and produce. While we enjoyed the variety, we encountered a vast number of requests for pigs. In 2016 we made the decision to sell our cattle and mainly focus on farrowing Berkshire Pigs, and at times Turkeys, Chickens and Produce.

We originally started with 15 sows and 2 boars. While stream-lining our process of how we managed our Berkshire Pigs, we have increased our number of breeding sows from 15 to over 125 and have expanded our farm operation to be able to grow and produce almost all the feed our Berkshire Pigs enjoy year-round; with the use of regenerative agricultural techniques to give them vast abundance of different forage for which they enjoy.

We are one of the largest Pure Berkshire, Pasture-Raised Farrowing operations in the US and sell our piglets all over the country.

We often get asked about the name of our farm and what it means. We got the name by combining our children’s names, Sebastian and Landon; and the meaning, is our commitment to raising the Best pork from our farm to your table.

The farm is operated by Paul and Michelle, with son’s Sebastian and Landon Foster and trusted friend and long-time employee Ben Yoder.
